Discover Taiwan

Will take you to most places you want to go in Taipei. All lines have connecting stations, eg the red and green lines connect at Zhongshan station. Sometimes there is a bit of walk when connecting from one line to another so just follow the signs. If you are in a party of 3-5, consider taking a taxi instead as this may workout cheaper than your MRT fares combined. The advantage of a taxi is you will save time and effort as well.
And while you're there visit the National Palace Museum. Best collection of Chinese artifacts in the world . Free English tours twice a day , free entry Saturday night after 台東池上伴手禮 6ish. alishan, sunmoon lake are popular tourist areas, taipei is fun with great museums and monuments, kaohsiung is more typical of local minnan culture and modern.

Seafood, meat from Australia, Japan and New Zealand. There's a really big tech mall known as "Guanghua Digital Plaza".
Exploring Kinmen feels like a step back in time with original style Fujian buildings and lots of green space. History lovers will be fascinated by the many remnants of Kinmen’s past conflict with neighbouring China. On this group tour you will visit some must-see and famed attractions like Juguang Tower, Zhaishan Tunnel, Kinmen Guesthouse and Kinmen National Park. Make sure you have two or more visas and let us know if you are allowed to travel to Taiwan without getting a visa first. After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Tainan City, the ancient capital of Taiwan. Situated on the southwestern coastal plains of the island and enjoys a warm climate all year round.
I vow to return and explore Alishan National Scenic Area, Kenting National Park and the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area, among others. The air temperature happens to be 36 degrees, but our visit to the Zao-ri Hot Springs is unavoidable. The different saltwater baths at Zao-ri vary in heat from lukewarm through to lobster thermidor, recalling that gruesome Kurosawa movie in which the hapless victim is boiled alive. Fortunately, our hotel in the north of the island between Gongguan and Nanliao villages is directly opposite the supremely relaxing Bar B2 bar and grill, with a friendly ambience and fantastic ocean views. Just as I'm hoping there's a tailor on the premises who can do quick alterations to let my pants out, we take a night walk along the Buluowan Trail. "Watch out for big monkeys!" says our Taroko guide.

Situated less than a 10-minute stroll from Chiayi Station, Travel Art Inn offers guests an ideal base while visiting Chiayi City. It also offers free Wi-Fi, a library and a Jacuzzi. Dapeng lies right near Taiwan's second-largest city, Kaohsiung, which has an area of green space known as Cijin Wind-Power Park. This commitment to global warming reduction would be impressive were it not for the fact that Taiwan still has a reputation for having some of the largest pollution levels in Asia. Inland and south of Taitung, a vast expanse of green wilderness awaits exploration but time is against me.
The fact that the tunnel is completely made of granite adds to the engineering masterpiece's impressive features. The water channel comfortably houses 42 small boats, thanks to its 357 m length and sits attached to the tunnel. It was abandoned in 1986 due to sediment deposition. From Hualien we venture inland to what is justifiably Taiwan's most visited attraction, Taroko Gorge National Park. Twenty-seven of Taiwan's highest mountains are within the park, the tallest of them rising to over 3740 metres.

I had great time chatting with locals while having my legs massaged due to the amount of walking i did . I would consider living in Taipei if only the working hours there were not as long.
If you have a car you might visit all in one day. We took public transport – thus two separate trips not including Pingxi. you should still be ok, but if you travel around the country it's not going to be like everyone can speak a little English, also if you go up to some stranger, Taiwanese people can be shy to speak English to foreigners. i went solo and travelled around the whole country and i managed. You can't go to Taiwan and not visit a few of them.
hsr station is kind of far like up near the lake with the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas. i can only speak on my limited experience as i didn't stay that long there. i actually stayed near the kaohsiung main station which is near where the old station was. anyway that's what i suggest based on what i know. the hsr station is kind of far like up near the lake with the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas.
